Some pictures I took a few weeks ago when I went to St Louis for an academic competition.
It was a really great city and I got to see the stadium where Sam Bradford and the Rams play. It snowed nearly the entire time and all the permeating greyness added to the feeling that this was the most “Eastern” city that I’ve visited so far. Yeah, I mainly travel out to the west.
The people looking out the windows inside the Arch are my academic teammates and coach. The last photo is the view from my (really effing nice) hotel room on the 10th floor. Someone in the prominently shown building took a picture of me while I was reading with the curtains open. Who are you. You must have a tumblr, I’m sure.
Anyway, we placed fourth overall and so have earned the right to go to Chicago next month to be slaughtered by the likes of the Harvard, Yale, and Stanford academic teams! :D

First snow of the year!
Should I make a snow angel or a snowman or just lay on the ground until I either become a snowmummy or someone asks what’s wrong with me?
Edit: Actually that might be a lie. First snow of the year I’ve seen, anyway!

ZOO TRIPPED TODAY (and got a stuffed otter i am 5)
1- Loved this guy. Cheers, Mr Gould’s frogmouth. The kookaburras were so show-offy, but no, not him. Never even moved. He’s seen it all before. And on this day, I presented myself before him and was found wanting.
2- This giraffe was born in January and his name is Sgt Peppers. He made to approach for a bit then thought better of it. However, a doe actually nuzzled my hand later. Maybe it was being affectionate because hardly anyone was there.
3- Red panda. There was a man there who was under the impression that this particular specimen was just a freak variant of the giant panda and happened to come out red and oddly shaped. I don’t know.
4- The cuddlefish was definitely my favorite. It seemed to take a real liking to me and followed me around its tank. We had a real connection, I think. The seahorses, on the other hand, hated me.
5- This meerkat just looked like it was enjoying the afternoon.

Quick doodle before bed of my friend Rebekah, the floating notes a woefully inaccurate representation of her passion for music and pit percussion.

Martin Crieff as The Doctor
In determining what his Doctor outfit would be I ended up going RAF on him. I’ll add Arthur the companion later.
